Felicitas recommends intermittent fasting for 5 days of of the 7 days of the retreat:
Intermittent fasting means having an 8-hour window of eating and a 16-hour window of not eating.
What you eat and when you schedule those windows is your choice. (Felicitas recommends 9:00-5:00pm eating and 5:00pm to 9:00am fasting)
Benefits: Weight loss, lower blood insulin and sugar levels. A 16 hr of fasting triggers a healing process called “autophagy”, a sort of cleaning process of any dysfunctional or damaged cells and activates a process of cell renewal.
